Planned Activities! NEW INFO!!

Mitchell and Megan found love when we both took a chance and swiped right on each other via Tinder! Our first date was simple, sharing a connection over Jamba Juice downtown Denver, and that connection only grew deeper as time went on! Mitch made the relationship official just a few months later on September 16th, at an Odesza concert. Music is something that draws us closer together, and something that we'd build a lot of memories on in the following years! Electric Forest 2025 was a special event, where Mitch plotted and schemed all weekend for the perfect moment, overlooking the festival at the top of the tallest tower, Mitch got down on one knee and asked Megan to spend forever navigating lifes challenges with him! We're so excited to share our love with you this spring!

The end of May is a great time to go White Water Rafting in Colorado!! Intermediate is super easy and exciting for all ages! If you've ever been rafting before, we suggest bumping up to advanced!

If you wanna get even higher in Colorado, look no further than the high ropes courses at Colorado Adventure Center!

Colorado Adventure Center - Sky Trek Ropes Course & Ziplining

This is usually the last resort open for the season! Conditions can be a little slushy, but this is still an awesome place to check out if you enjoy winter sports!

We'll be spending an afternoon at the disc golf course! Please join us, we have plenty of discs to share!

If you're looking for a relaxing place to soak, Idaho Springs is a short drive away for some nice hot springs! Blackhawk Casinos aren't far from here either if you want to make a day of it!

Any of the casinos at Black Hawk are fun, but we've had some good luck at Monarch in the past!! Ameristar is kinda lame though lol

Relaxed wedding attire encouraged: Button up shirts, comfortable shoes, dress pants/khakis. Dresses, jumpers, fun sandals. Heels would be problematic lol. Please prepare for the elements and bring a couple layers of clothes to stay comfortable throughout the night!

Directions to Windy Point:(GPS Directions to Windy Point Group Campground Dillon or Prospector Campground) There are two routes to get to Windy Point depending on which side of the lake you're on. If staying in Dillon, Silverthorne or Keystone, or driving up from Denver: From I-70 Take exit 205 onto US-6 E towards Silverthorne, Turn Left. In 4.5 Miles turn right onto Swan Mountain Road. In 1.9 Miles Turn right onto Prospector Campground and our group site will be through a closed gate and about 1 mile ahead! To get there from Frisco/Breckenridge: From I-70, Take exit 203 toward Frisco/ Breckenridge. This will put you on Highway 9Follow Highway 9 through Frisco and along the lake about 4 miles to the intersection with Swan Mountain Road (there will be a traffic signal, with Summit High School to your right)Turn left onto Swan Mountain RoadDrive 3 miles to the Prospector Campground sign on the left side of the road, where you will also find signs for our wedding!Follow the dirt road to Windy Point Group Campground, drive through the gate, and all the way to our site! There will be signs, don't worry!

Wedding Details

Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, Breckenridge, Frisco, and Copper Mountain are all incredibly close by and offer amazing accommodations!! We definitely suggest price shopping, looking at Airbnb and VRBO, Kayak, Priceline and directly on the hotels website to find the perfect mountain accommodations for you!

Located in Dillon, 6.4 Miles from Windy Point, Homewood Suites By Hilton Dillon has accommodations with a terrace, private parking, a bar and barbecue facilities. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a fitness center, as well as an indoor pool and a hot tub. The property provides a 24-hour front desk and a business center for guests. Certain rooms have a kitchenette with a fridge, a dishwasher and a microwave. Guests at the hotel will be able to enjoy activities in and around Dillon, like skiing and cycling. We have a room block set up for our group at the Homewood Inn and Suites! Dillon, Silverthorne, Keystone, Frisco and Breckenridge all have affordable options and we definitely encourage you to shop around for the rate that makes sense for you! We liked this option because of the kitchenette and location!

Homewood Suites by Hilton Dillon

Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Silverthorne offers accommodations in Silverthorne, 7.5 miles away from Windy Point! The property is non-smoking throughout and all rooms in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a hairdryer. Breakfast is available, and includes buffet, continental and American options. Hampton Inn &amp; Suites Silverthorne offers 3-star accommodations with an indoor pool, fitness center and hot tub. Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Silverthorne, like hiking, skiing and fishing. Guests will find a 24-hour front desk, a shared lounge and a business center at the property.

Hampton Inn & Suites Silverthorne

This hotel overlooks downtown Silverthorne and is short walk from the Outlets at Silverthorne shopping center. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and mountain views. Quality Inn and Suites Silverthorne - Copper Mountain features a microwave and refrigerator in every guest room. Rooms are also equipped with cable TV with HBO and a coffee maker. A continental breakfast is served daily at the Quality Inn. Guests can use the indoor or outdoor jacuzzi. A business center and gym are also available. This hotel is 8.1 Miles away from the venue!

Quality Inn & Suites Silverthorne - Copper Mountain

If you want to get the real ski town feeling, we suggest you look into the Keystone Lodge and Spa! The Keystone Lodge and Spa is located in the Lakeside Village district in Keystone, away from the town of Dillon, about 5.1 Miles from the venue. A free transfer service to ski slopes is offered. The Keystone Lodge features a state-of-the-art spa with 14 treatment rooms, including a couple's treatment room, a hydro-therapy room and a relaxation lounge. Feel pampered with the spa's organic products and indigenous ingredients. WiFi access, shuttle service, 24-hour fitness center access, access to the spa's pools, hot tubs and saunas, bicycle, ski and snowboard storage, and more are included as resort amenities. Although Keystone will likely be closed for the season by the end of May, Arapahoe Basin isn't too much further up the road and they're usually the last ones to close for the season, if you want to try some spring skiing in Colorado!

We've booked an amazing campground as our wedding venue! We'll be overlooking the lake and under the stars!

The Details:Windy Point Group CampgroundWe have the site reserved from May 28th until June 1st 2026! Check in starting at 6pm and check out by 10am!You'll be camping amongst the stars and trees overlooking the lake in beautiful Dillon Colorado!This is bear country, so please plan accordingly at all times!The closest Kroger grocery store is about 8 minutes away!At the site are fire rings (wood provided), picnic tables, a pavilion, grills.Swimming/body contact in the lake is not allowed!We'll shut the entry gate behind us to ensure our groups privacy all weekend!

How to avoid altitude sickness

- The most important step is to start hydrating several days before you leave. Hydrating throughout the weekend is your best defense against altitude sickness! - For those concerned with altitude sickness, we recommend staying at a lower elevation the first night of your trip. Denver is located at 5,280 feet above sea level, so it's a good place to get acclimated for the night before heading up to Dillon, which sits at about 9,000 feet! -Elevation affects children and older adults a little more intensely, but can affect everyone differently. If your plan is to stay in the mountains your whole trip, we do not recommend heading straight from the airport to Dillon. Stop and grab some food/water in Denver before driving up I-70! - Alcohol has a greater affect on you at elevation. 1 drink feels like 2 in the mountains. Please drink responsibly! - Limit alcohol use first 24-36 hours you arrive. Alcohol and caffeine dehydrates you quickly. - Eating carbs is recommended to combat the effects of altitude sickness. - If you plan on driving to the top of Mt. Blue Sky (Evans), or Pikes Peak. Plan this activity for the second half of your trip. The elevation is extreme at the top of these mountains. Mitch has almost fainted on top of Blue Sky on his first trip to Colorado.
